Rice cooked with meat and vegetables: rice cooked with sweet potato and bacon


Bacon 150 g, Thai fragrant rice 350 ml, sweet potato 200 g, spring onion/leek 20 - 30 g, 1/2 soup spoon of salt, cooking oil, light soy sauce

  1. Cut the bacon into small pieces. Cut the sweet potato into small chunks. Cut the spring onion/leek into small bits. Wash the rice.
  2. Smear the internal tank of a rice-cooker with some cooking oil.
  3. Mix the rice, bacon and salt. Put the rice mixture in the tank. Put some water in the tank. The water should be about 1 cm higher than the rice mixture.
  4. Cook the rice mixture with the rice cooker. When the water boils well in the tank, put the sweet potato chunks evenly on the top of the rice mixture. Cook continually.
  5. After the rice cooker has finished its cooking program, keep the lid closed for 10 minutes.
  6. Eat the rice mixture with some spring onion/leek bits and light soy sauce.
